Quarter Sawn Quarter Sawn Face Quarter Sawn End Grain • Growth rings ranging from 45 to 75 degrees to the face, minimizing the appearance of ray flakes. • Easily distinguishable by the relatively straight and linear looking grain pattern. • Narrow average widths in comparison to Quarter Sawn and Plain Sawn based on the very limited cut from the outside of the log.
